Tropical Storm Nana has developed in the Caribbean Sea and Tropical Storm Omar has developed in the Atlantic moving away from the U.S.
Nana storm is south of Jamaica and has winds of 50 mph.
The official forecast from the National Hurricane Center has top winds reaching 75 mph or hurricane strength by the time it makes landfall on Thursday along the Belize coast.
Nana is the earliest "N" named storm developing on September 1.
The previous record was Nate on September 5, 2005.
Omar is off the U.S. coast and is peaking at a minimal tropical storm at 40 mph.
Omar is the earliest "O" storm being named today, September 1.
The previous record was Ophelia on September 7, 2005.
Last year was a busy season for named storms. Nestor, the N storm did not develop until October 16 and Olga on October 25.
The record for the earliest P storm is Philippe on September 17, 2005.
