Democrats hope to flip 'purple' Kentucky House District 48 in Louisville
Democrats hope to flip a Kentucky House of Representatives district they call one of the most "purple" in Louisville by hammering the Republican incumbent for his vote on legislation that led to Kentucky's abortion ban.
House District 48 sits in eastern Jefferson County and includes part of Oldham County near Crestwood. The slice in Louisville lies between the Ohio River and U.S. Highway 42 and Ky. Highway 22 and stretches from Indian Hills through Prospect.
That's where Republican incumbent Ken Fleming is being challenged by Democrat Kate Farrow.
"Ken voted multiple times to put himself into doctors offices and make decisions for women and their families," Farrow told 비바카지노 Viva News.
In response, Fleming noted he filed a bill last session providing exceptions for rape, incest and certain nonviable pregnancies.
Fleming said he believes his constituents are more concerned about public safety and improving education, touting his support for the Safer Kentucky Act, a sweeping anti-crime bill, and his sponsorship of the resolution that created a task force to study ways of improving JCPS.

There's a lot of interest going on, from truancy issues to protecting teachers to proficiency rates. So we're really coming together in terms of really narrowing down some things that will provide at least a basic foundation to get the ball rolling."
Despite accusations the task force was formed to justify breaking up JCPS into smaller school districts, Fleming said that is not a foregone conclusion.
But Farrow said she believes otherwise.
