Derby City Gaming officially opens downtown Louisville location
A new gaming and betting facility opened Wednesday in the heart of downtown Louisville.
Derby City Gaming Downtown opened its doors to the public in style, with official Churchill Downs bugler Steve Buttleman on hand to play the race call.

The gaming business also gave a check for $20,ooo to The Norton Healthcare Foundation and $20,000 to the during the opening ceremony.
The new place is located at 140 South Fourth Street, and it is Louisville's first brick-and-mortar wagering establishment, complete with sports wagering and historic racing games.
Derby City Gaming is like a small casino without cards or dice. Customers can bet on horse races and sports.
The venue also has 500 historical racing machines, which look a lot like slot machines.
There's also a sportsbook where folks can watch or bet on the game, as well as a stage for live entertainment.

Also inside is a bourbon bar and a wine bar on the downstairs level.
The entertainment venue has 130 on-site guest parking spaces at an attached structure.
