It's a severe alert day for Tuesday.
A few showers will be possible early on, but the better chances of showers and storms develop in the afternoon.
Some of those storms could be strong to severe. We are watching for the potential for strong winds and large hail.

This could impact anyone going to the track for 502'sDay.
The main timeframe for our general area is between 4 and 9 p.m. This would be the time to be weather aware.
The higher chances of strong to severe storms look off to the northeast. Our area has been placed under a "enhanced" risk category which is level 3 out of 5 on the list.
On Wednesday, we have the threat of storms with heavy rainfall. These storms look to be scattered, but possibly heavy rain-producers.
Another wave of possibly strong to severe storms comes back into our area on Thursday, with damaging winds being the primary concern. This round of storms may also exacerbate flooding concerns due to already elevated rainfall totals.
As of right now, the bulk of the heaviest and strongest storms look to move out of the area by Oaks and Derby.
A few showers may be hung up on Friday, but Saturday looks to be dry and below normal.
