But perhaps the greatest holiday tradition is the annual installment of an enormous fire hazard in your living room. Just in case you forgot that keeping your Christmas tree well watered can be a literal matter of life or death, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission prepared this festive holiday greeting to remind you. According to the video posted in 2017, "a dry Christmas tree burns faster than newspaper." It certainly proves how vital it is to make sure your tree is watered: May your days be merry and bright, and may all your Christmases be appropriately water-saturated and not actively on fire.
