University of Louisville men's basketball head coach Jeff Walz is glad to have his family with him in Minneapolis at this week's Final Four.
"I'm blessed my children are able to be around these young ladies," said Walz. "And, they treat them like they're their own brothers and sisters and it really means a lot to me because my kids really look up to them."
A couple of his kids, Lola and little sister Lucy, spent some time on the court Thursday with the team's video coordinator LaMont Russell, working on dribbling and shooting.
"I saw them shooting down there today and I took it upon myself just to give them a little lesson," said Russell.
That lesson led to many smiles.
"They're great," said Russell. "Whenever they're around, they have a big smile on their face and just provide extra energy for our team. And I love having them around."
Lola Walz said she's glad to be in Minneapolis too, spending time with the team and her family.
"I'm having a lot of fun," said Lola Walz. "I'm just glad that we got to the Final Four."
The Walzes have four kids. Their oldest daughter couldn't make the trip to Minneapolis due to a volleyball tournament.
