The elaborate joy of the 'Derby Burger' and what's on this year's
Since its founding 19 years ago, one of the main attractions of the Kentucky Derby Festival맥스카지노s Fest-a-Ville has been the food.
Responsible for making one of the most popular items at the nine-day event is Brian Foegen, who owns Foegen Concessions.
"Our specialty here is the Derby Burger, which we맥스카지노ve had for over 10 years," Foegen said.
Each year, Kroger holds an open competition, inviting folks to put their best burger idea forward. This go-round, a record 55 people entered, and one was selected. According to Brian, there's a lot going on in this year맥스카지노s burger.
"This year맥스카지노s Derby Burger is a beef burger, with Dan-O맥스카지노s seasoning, sea salt, and rosemary seasoning on it. Then it has an avocado spread and Pico de Gallo on it, topped with Chihuahua cheese," Foegen said.
With each passing year, Brian believes the popularity of the burger continues to grow.
"Derby Burgers are pretty popular," Foegen said. "Every year, they become more popular. People know they're here, and they want to try something different맥스카지노and it's always different every year."
Fest-a-Ville runs through May 2 and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 10 p.m.
