Louisville Metro Police Department's interim chief helped a woman who crashed into him while having a medical emergency, according to the department.LMPD said the crash happened around 4:50 p.m. Monday at Seventh Street and Algonquin Parkway.Officers arrived and found an unmarked LMPD Tahoe and a pickup truck that had crashed.LMPD said the woman in the pickup truck was heading north on Seventh Street when she "had a medical emergency" and crashed into interim Chief Paul Humphrey's SUV head-on.Humphrey, who was uninjured, rendered first aid to the woman before emergency medical services arrived.She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.LMPD's 4th Division will be handling the investigation.
