Man injured after being shot by LMPD officer in the Camp Taylor neighborhood
The Louisville Metro Police Department were on the scene of a police shooting in the Camp Taylor neighborhood Saturday night.
Just after 10:30 p.m., LMPD received a call for service from a home in the 1600 block of Lincoln Ave.
Officials said a man at that location was "intoxicated, argumentative," and grabbed a gun and shot it into the floor before police arrived.
When police arrived at the scene, they said they found a man, who was "obviously distraught," holding a gun to his head in the driveway.

As this was happening, police said there were other people inside of the home who were on the phone with 911.
Officials said they attempted to get everyone out of the house safely, but person remained inside.
The man in the driveway then reentered the home with the gun.
An officer reportedly told the man to drop the gun, and then fired one shot, which hit the man in the arm.
The man was taken to UofL Hospital with what police describe as non-life-threatening injuries.
None of the responding officers or other people at the scene were injured in the incident.
LMPD said there is body camera footage of the incident, and it will be released in 10 business days, per department policy.
