A Louisville Metro Council race features a rematch from 2020, but it remains unclear how redistricting will affect this fall's election.
Democrat Mera Kathryn Corlett will once again challenge Republican Marilyn Parker, the incumbent since 2012.

Parker's tenure has helped her learn how to secure infrastructure improvements for the district, she said. Her committee assignments also help 맥스카지노 she said her budget committee membership gives her a platform to advocate for the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Both candidates agree that the LMPD needs more officers and the city needs to adequately fund preventative anti-violence programs.
Education and workforce development are also important parts of that strategy, Corlett said.
If elected, she would propose a standalone education committee to bring together the city's educational institutions and improve how they serve residents, she said.
"Education is not only about JCPS," Corlett said. "It's also about a long trajectory, early childhood all the way up to trade schools. And how are we preparing people to change into different positions in jobs and industries?"
