Mother of Louisville bank shooter called 911 to warn of son's plans
The mother of the Louisville bank shooter was among several to call 911 the day the shooting happened.
Connor Sturgeon brought an AR-15 rifle to Old National Bank in downtown Louisville earlier this week. He was an employee there, and police said he killed five of his coworkers and injured several other people, including officers.
LMPD released multiple 911 calls from that day. In one, Sturgeon's mother tries to warn police of his plans.
She says that Sturgeon's roommate called her and said he had left a note indicating he was headed toward the bank with a gun.
The call also indicates that she was going to go to the bank, but the dispatcher tells her not to, saying there's already a situation happening, and "it's dangerous there."
Her call was received at 8:41 a.m. Police responded to the shooting just minutes earlier, at 8:38 a.m.
GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING: It begins around 18:23.
