My Morning Jacket releases new song; self-titled album on the way
The wait is over, Jacket fans.
It's been about six years since Louisville band My Morning Jacket has released new music. (Like REAL new music. Last year's album, the Waterfall II, was actually a compilation of songs that didn't make it onto the Waterfall, if you didn't know.)
So brand new tunes finally arrive this October when the band will release its self-titled album.
And, surprise 맥스카지노 a new song is already out. "Regularly Scheduled Programming" debuted at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
"This song really hits home for me after what we맥스카지노ve gone through with the pandemic," My Morning Jacket맥스카지노s frontman Jim James said in a statement on the release of "Regularly Scheduled Programming."
"But even before then, it felt like so many of us were trading real life for social media, trading our own stories for the storylines on TV, trading our consciousness for drugs. We need to help each other wake up to real love before it's too late."
James said the album came to life after what looked like a permanent hiatus for the band. But after performing four shows in summer 2019 맥스카지노 beginning with two "mind-blowing" nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre 맥스카지노 My Morning Jacket was "overcome with the urge to carry on."

The album will be released Oct. 22.
The band is about to start touring, and will be in Kentucky on Aug. 28 for Railbird festival in Lexington.
