18-year-old woman killed in Nelson County crash, 2 others seriously injured
An 18-year-old woman is dead and two others are in the hospital following a crash in Nelson County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers were called to the 800 block of KY-509 in the Coxs Creek community around 6 p.m. Tuesday about a two-vehicle crash.
Police said a 26-year-old man was driving a pickup truck when he crossed the center line for an unknown reason. The man then crashed into another pickup truck with a 17- and 18-year-old in it.
The 18-year-old woman, McKinzi Raisor, of Bardstown, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man and 17-year-old were both taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The crash caused that portion of KY-509 to be closed for several hours while police reconstructed the crash.
KSP is investigating the crash.
