Texas Roadhouse takes home Great Bed Race title for 2nd year in a row
A unique Kentucky Derby Festival tradition returned to Broadbent Arena Monday evening.
The Great Bed Races were back, featuring 50 teams from local businesses around the Metro.
Teams of five built the beds on wheels, decorated them, and then were off to the races.
This year's theme was an 80's style "Pink Out Party."
While the races are the main event, other honors were up for grabs, like Best Decorated Bed and Most Entertaining.
Participants say it's the comradery that keeps them coming back each year.
"We feel nothing but love. It's always a good time. Everybody's happy. Everybody's having a good time. Everybody wants to be here," said Alex Keller with the LPX group.
For a second year in a row, Texas Roadhouse left the competition in the dust, taking home the championship title.
