Shaquille Lord
Reporter/AnchorShaquille Lord was promoted to Weekend Anchor in February of 2022. He first joined the 비바카지노 Viva news team in February 2019 as a General Assignment Reporter.
Shaquille earned two Emmy award nominations and won several awards after his work covering social unrest and protests over the death of Breonna Taylor in 2020.
Prior to coming to the Louisville, Shaquille worked in Augusta, Georgia for more than two years as the lead reporter and fill in anchor. During his tenure, he had the opportunity to cover several national stories including the trial of Reality Winner, the NSA government contractor accused of leaking classified information as well as the controversial gubernatorial race for Georgia governor between Stacey Abrams & Brian Kemp.
Shaquille graduated from UNC-Charlotte in May 2016. During his time there, he shot, wrote, and edited stories for the "Niner Times." He also interned at Time Warner Cable News. Shaquille is a dual citizen, born on the island of Trinidad & Tobago. He then moved to Brooklyn, NY at the age of 6. He credits his grandmother for his passion for journalism as they both watched the evening news together.
He is a proud member of NABJ (National Association of Black Journalists).
