I-MOVE Kentucky interstate project expected to be complete by fall 2024
A large-scale highway project in Jefferson and Oldham counties has been four years in the making.
Project manager Chris Slone said while they expected the construction to be complete by summer 2024, the new date will now be this fall.
맥스카지노There맥스카지노s about 65,000 vehicles that go through this interchange on a daily basis,맥스카지노 said Slone.
Along the route, for the last four years, people have seen a project to improve the Gene Snyder Freeway, Interstate 71 and I-64 in the making.
맥스카지노We've made a lot of progress. We're trying to get rid of the existing ramps the way they currently sit and make it much better for the traveling public as they drive through,맥스카지노 said Slone.
Slone said the project was delayed until the fall because they started in March 2020 with the pandemic stalling them for a while.
맥스카지노Since then, we've been trying to make constant progress and get this project completed,맥스카지노 said Slone.
The $180 million project is paid for by state and federal highway funds with the budget still being intact.
맥스카지노Even with the delays, the budget is set, and we맥스카지노re on budget,맥스카지노 said Slone.
He said many crews work 10-hour days, five to six days a week, to move the project along.
맥스카지노Up there at 71, they are currently finishing upgrading operations. All the bridges are built there. So we have grading and pavement mostly left on 71,맥스카지노 said Slone, 맥스카지노We맥스카지노re working toward the completion and, you know, once again, bear with us. You know, the construction is going on. There's people out here, even on today, where we have a rainy day. We still have people working, and we'll continue to have that for the rest of 맥스카지노 until the job is complete.맥스카지노
I-MOVE Kentucky is the largest, single construction project in Kentucky since the Ohio River Bridges project was completed in 2016.
