Louisville mass shooting victims: Names released of 5 people killed at bank
Officials have released the names of people killed in a mass shooting in downtown Louisville.
The shooting happened around 8:30 a.m. on Monday at the Old National Bank on Main Street.
At least five people are dead, as well as the gunman, and several others were hurt, police said.
The people who died have been identified by LMPD. Here's what we know about them so far:
Tommy Elliott, 63
Senior vice president at the bank
Gov. Andy Beshear, Mayor Craig Greenberg and Sen. Morgan McGarvey said they were close friends with Elliott.
"He was an incredible friend, and he was loved, just like every single person lost 맥스카지노 each one irreplaceable to their families and this community," Beshear said.
"He helped me become governor, he gave be advice on how to be a good dad, one of the people I talked to most in the world," he said.
McGarvey said their wives worked together in Louisville.
Elliott leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
He was an Elizabethtown native and went to the University of Kentucky.
Jim Tutt , 64
Market executive
Tutt was a native of Frankfort and a University of Kentucky graduate. He served on the board of the Oldham La Grange Development Authority. He leaves behind his wife Karen, their children and grandchildren.
Josh Barrick, 40
Senior vice president, commercial real estate banking
Barrick was a husband, father of two, a parishioner at Holy Trinity in Louisville. He also coached first and second grade basketball at the church.
He was a graduate of Louisville's Trinity High School and Cincinnati's Xavier University.
A prayer vigil was held at the parish Monday night in remembrance of Barrick.
Juliana Farmer, 45
Commercial banking agent
Farmer was from Henderson in western Kentucky and friends say she recently moved to Louisville for her job at the bank. She posted on social media this week that her 5th grandchild was on the way.
Deana Eckert, 57
Executive administrative officer
Eckert was a wife and a mother of two. She was originally from Harrodsburg, and lived with her family in New Albany.
Old National Bank CEO Jim Ryan released a statement, saying in part:

Old National Bank said that members of the leadership team have been in Louisville most of Monday to provide support and will continue to do so.
At least three of the people hurt are officers. Two were the first to respond to the scene, and were injured by gunfire.
The 25-year-old shooter died at the scene during an exchange of gunfire with police.
