LMPD releases police video of barrage of gunfire in Chickasaw that injured officer
The Louisville Metro Police Department released video from the day an officer was shot in the Chickasaw neighborhood.
Officer Brandon Haley was shot during a traffic stop nearly two weeks ago.
Police say a barrage of gunfire came from a nearby house on Kentucky Street.
Haley is still in the hospital but is showing signs of improvement.
LMPD gave a more detailed account of how that event unfolded on Wednesday.

They said Haley was trying to stop someone that night who had no lights on. The vehicle was headed westbound on Kentucky Street and turned South on 40th Street, where the vehicle came to rest on the sidewalk.
Police said two people ran from the vehicle, and Haley ran toward the vehicle. It was then that "several" people began shooting from a nearby home on the west side of 40th Street, police said.
Haley was struck, fell to the ground and returned fire. With shots still being fired, Haley ran to the opposite side of the street, where he was met by Officer Billotto.
Police said more gunfire was directed toward the two of them, and Billotto fired back. He then dragged Haley to a safer position and gave him aid.
At least five people were taken into custody at the scene for different crimes. We know four people are facing charges, but none are for the actual shooting.
Multiple guns and narcotics were seized at the scene, police said.
