Norman Seawright

Anchor/Reporter

Norman Seawright III returned home to join the 비바카지노 Viva News team in February 2024 as an anchor and reporter.

Norman is a native to Kentuckiana as a 2009 graduate of Floyd Central High School. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Spanish from Ole Miss in 2013 and a Master’s degree in Broadcast & Digital Journalism (with an emphasis on Sports Communication) from Syracuse University in 2014.

After graduation, including two internships at 비바카지노 Viva, Norman spent the first 8 years of his career as an award-winning sports anchor/reporter with stops at KBJR-TV in Duluth, MN, WOWK-TV in Charleston, WV, and at WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, MN.

While in Minneapolis, Norman covered playoffs in every professional sport—including the NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLS, MLB, NHL—but found himself, during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder, spending more time telling stories intersecting sports, race and culture in engaging, informative settings involving collegiate and professional athletes.

Norman is thrilled to be home to serve and care for the community that raised him. Out of the office, he enjoys exploring the world around him, reading, listening to and performing music (aside from being an able singer, he’s a classically trained violinist and former saxophonist), weight training (though not as excessively as he used to), and watching soccer and Ole Miss football. He’s also been a voiceover artist and a podcaster.
