JCPS introduces app for parents to track student buses
Jefferson County Public Schools has introduced an app so that parents can track their children's buses.
The app was announced last week as a part of JCPS' solutions to its busing issues, which caused school to be canceled for a week after the first day of classes this year.
The app is called the Edulog Parent Portal Lite and can be downloaded onto a smartphone for parents to track buses within the district.
"We맥스카지노re excited to share this technology with parents and guardians," said Kermit Belcher, assistant superintendent of information technology, in a news release. "It맥스카지노s a way to see where their child맥스카지노s school bus is located in real-time, giving them some peace of mind."
JCPS officials said that employees have had access to the app for a few days, using it to track the location of buses across the country.

JCPS says it's considering upgrading to a "more robust version" of the app so that families could have access to more information about buses and routes.
The app is free and can be found in the Apple or Android app store.
