Five people were killed and multiple others were injured in a mass shooting April 10 at a downtown Louisville bank.
Here맥스카지노s everything we know about the incident at this time.
When and where it happened
At about 8:30 a.m. Monday, Louisville Metro Safe received a report of shots fired and a possible active shooter at 333 East Main St. at the Old National Bank, next to Slugger Field.
Police said within three minutes of being dispatched, officers arrived on the scene and saw that the shooter was still firing gunshots. Officers exchanged gunshots with the shooter, and ultimately, the shooter died on the scene, according to police.
Officers Nick Wilt and Cory Galloway were the first to arrive on the scene. Both were shot.
From shooting to death of shooter, police said it took about 9 minutes.
The shooter
The shooter has been identified as 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon, who was an employee at the bank, LMPD said. They said he was streaming the attack live on his Instagram.
Sturgeon was confirmed to be dead on the scene. He was shot and killed by Galloway, who was also hit.
Police said Sturgeon used a rifle that he bought legally at a Louisville dealership on April 4.

Interim police chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel said it was her understanding that the shooter had no previous interactions with law enforcement.
On Tuesday, police said they believe it was a targeted shooting. They also said that he waited in the lobby to ambush police after killing his coworkers.
Sen. Morgan McGarvey said Tuesday that Sturgeon left a note and had texted someone prior to the shooting that he was suicidal.
The shooter's family released a statement on Tuesday:
"While Connor, like many of his contemporaries, had mental health challenges which we, as a family, were actively addressing, there were never any warning signs or indications he was capable of this shocking act. While we have many unanswered questions, we will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement officials and do all we can to aid everyone in understanding why and how this happened.
"No words can express our sorrow, anguish, and horror at the unthinkable harm our son Connor inflicted on innocent people, their families, and the entire Louisville community," read the statement. "We mourn their loss and that of our son, Connor. We pray for everyone traumatized by his senseless acts of violence and are deeply grateful for the bravery and heroism of the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department."
They said they are having his brain tested for CTE.

During the gunfire exchange, police said Galloway was grazed on the left side, and another officer suffered minor injuries to the elbow not from a gunshot.

According to LMPD, he was recently sworn into the department.
